Beyond the daily exercise culture described above, three features stand out: the birdlife (close to 175 recorded species, best seen at dawn or early evening away from the main paths); the Lake Mosque, sitting partly over the water and found mostly by accident; and Nazrul Mancha, the 2,400-seat auditorium that currently hosts the Dover Lane Music Conference, one of India’s premier Hindustani classical music platforms, every January.
