Pirpukur Mosque & the Haji Pahlawan Mausoleum

The small mosque of Pirpukur is where Nazrul's father served as imam and where the orphaned boy worked as caretaker and muezzin after his father's death in 1908. The attached mausoleum honours Haji Pahlawan, a local saint. Both structures are still in active use; approach respectfully, remove shoes and women should have heads and shoulders covered if entering.
