The house at 3 Gourmohan Mukherjee Street where Narendranath Datta, later Swami Vivekananda, was born on 12 January 1863, restored by the Ramakrishna Mission and now a memorial museum, library and cultural centre holding manuscripts, correspondence and documentation of his 1893 address to the Parliament of World’s Religions in Chicago.
