The Beach

Text Body

The beach proper runs roughly north-south, with the open Bay of Bengal to the east and the casuarina belt to the west. There's no formal entrance, no ticket booth, no fence. You walk through a gap in the trees and find yourself on sand.
Walk the shoreline: The single best activity is also the cheapest. Walk south from the main entry point and you'll have the sand largely to yourself within 15 minutes; keep going and you'll cross into Talsari in another 30. Heading north along the seaside promenade leads you back toward New Digha. This 3km stroll becomes progressively more developed as you approach the town.
