Wesley Church (Singapore Methodist Church, Barrackpore)

Built in 1883 under the direction of a Mrs Wesley, this Methodist church stands near its Anglican counterpart and represents the other major strand of Protestant Christianity that flourished in the cantonment community. Now known as the Singapore Methodist Church (operating under the Barrackpore Diocese of the Church of North India), it retains its original modest but charming architectural character. The proximity of the two historic churches makes it easy to visit both in a single short walk.
