The heart of Mirik, this artificial lake stretches 1.2km and offers the town's most pleasant stroll. A footbridge (locals call it the “rainbow bridge”) arches gracefully over the water, connecting a 3.5km path that circles the lake through gardens of dahlias and marigolds. Paddle boats and horse rides cater to families, while the lake's western shore harbors quiet benches perfect for watching the sun set behind the pines. Early mornings bring a mystical quality as mist rises from the water's surface.
