Steel Bridge at Jogighat

Text Body

The functional bridge spanning the Riyang River at Jogighat, linking Mungpoo and the Sittong villages, has become, improbably, one of the belt's most photographed spots. The traditional bamboo bridge it supplements (still visible nearby and occasionally used for the experience) wobbles memorably underfoot. The walk from Sittong-I down to Jogighat and across to Mungpoo takes about 40 minutes each way through orange and banana groves, and is one of the most pleasant low-effort walks in the region.
