A short walk from the Matri Mandir brings you to the Temple of Simhavahini, the village deity of Jayrambati. The shrine is deeply bound to Sarada Devi’s life: she associated it with her recovery from illness, preserved some of its sacred earth and helped establish its reputation among devotees. In the present temple, Simhavahini is worshipped along with Chandi and Mahamaya in metallic pitchers, while Manasa is placed separately on another pedestal.
