The River Safari

Inside the reserve, movement is essentially aquatic: the mangroves are navigated by licensed boats and launches, with brief, controlled landings only at designated watchtowers and trails. Spend your days on the deck of a launch, cruising through narrow creeks (khal) like Pirkhali and Gazikhali. Tigers are most active during dawn and dusk, though sightings are never guaranteed. Success depends heavily on weather, tide cycles, and genuine luck. Your guide's experience and knowledge of tiger behavior significantly influence your chances.
