At the far end of the village stands the Rami Smriti Toran, a memorial gateway dedicated to Rami, the washerwoman beloved of Chandidas. It bears an inscription of one of the poet's most devoted lines: “Shuno rajakini Rami,” a line addressing Rami directly, comparing Chandidas's devotion to a worshipper's at the altar of a goddess. The gateway marks the boundary of the space in which their story unfolded.
