Perched atop a small hillock accessible from the dam road or by boat, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The hillock offers excellent views over the reservoir. A Shiva lingam was discovered here during the dam’s construction, and the small shrine also contains an ancient stone statue of the Jain Tirthankara Parsvanath found during the same excavation, making it a site of both Hindu and Jain pilgrimage. Every January, a mela (fair) is held here during Makar Sankranti, and the Tusu festival celebrated by local Adivasi communities adds colour to the occasion.
