Just inside the main entrance, the Nature Interpretation Centre provides a worthwhile orientation before you set off. Exhibits include mounted specimens of the sanctuary's reptiles (including an impressive stuffed gharial), soil profile models illustrating the Gangetic alluvial geology and informational panels on the flora and fauna. It is worth 20-30 minutes of your time and gives children an excellent grounding before the trail walk.
