For travelers arriving via the Kharagpur-Puri rail line (rather than the Howrah mainline), Narayangarh is an excellent alternative entry point to the artisan cluster. It boasts strong road connections to Pingla, Debra, Sabang and Kharagpur, with shared transport readily available for the onward journey to Pingla.
While smaller than the famous Sabang cluster, Narayangarh is home to its own community of madur weavers practicing the exact same centuries-old craft.
