These smaller gateways mark different sections of Gour's fortifications. Local traditions and historians differ on the origin of the Lukochuri Gateway: one attribution links it to Shah Shuja (mid-17th century), while another places it earlier under Alauddin Husain Shah (early 16th century). Either way, its two-storeyed form reads like a palace gateway rather than a fort gate. Kotwali Darwaza (named after the Persian word for police chief) sits just meters from the India-Bangladesh border and now serves as a BSF checkpoint. Oral permission is required to photograph it.
