The Jhargram Raj Palace, still associated with the Malla Deb family, was begun in 1922 and commissioned in 1931, designed in an Indo-Saracenic mode by Khytish Chandra Biswas of the Calcutta Improvement Trust, and today functions partly as a heritage stay.
