A gleaming white stupa perched on a hillside, built by the Japanese Buddhist order Nipponzan-Myōhōji to promote world peace. It's a 10-minute drive or a steep 20-minute walk from the town centre. The serene atmosphere is a welcome break from the town's bustle. From the top of the pagoda, you get a stunning panoramic view of the town and the Kanchenjunga range. A small Japanese temple is adjacent.
