Jagjivanpur Buddhist Monastery (Nandadirghi Vihara)

Located 30km-41km from Malda, these 9th-century ruins offer a rare glimpse into Bengal's Buddhist past under the Pala Dynasty. Recent archaeological excavations have unearthed monastery structures, stupas, and artefacts. Requires a separate half-day excursion.
