The Red Road Carnival brought the festivities to a spectacular close

It began with performances as hundreds of dancers, dhaakis and musicians took over Red Road.
The inaugural dance was presented by Dona Ganguly and her troupe.
Dancers and musicians displayed Bengal's artistry and inclusivity through enchanting performances.
Performances included folk, contemporary and classical dances as well as live music.
The 1km stretch from Fort William to Akashvani Bhavan turned into a live stage.
Award-winning pujas queued up to make their way to Babughat for immersion. 113 puja committees took part in the procession, showcasing their idols along with performances relevant to the puja’s theme this year.
Rio-like decorated floats glided past to the infectious beat of dhaak.
The fragrance of dhuno and strains of soulful Devi vandana filled the air.
Thousands of spectators, including dignitaries, diplomats and celebrities, lined Red Road.
