Ghoom Rock

Located approximately 1.5km from the Forest Lodge, reached by a pleasant walking trail through the trees, Ghoom Rock sits at roughly 7,900 feet, making it even higher than Lepchajagat itself. The panoramic view from here takes in the Balason Valley below, the Kanchenjunga range above and on exceptionally clear nights, Darjeeling spreads out in the distance like a festive constellation. It is one of the finest sunrise spots in the region and a rewarding short trek at any time of day.
