Ghagar Buri Chandi Temple

Established in 1620, this is Asansol's oldest temple, dedicated to Maa Ghagarburi, an incarnation of Maa Chandi. Though small, the temple exudes a powerful spiritual atmosphere. A narrow rivulet stream flows next to the temple, adding freshness to the site. Special worship occurs on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with a country fair on January 15th.
