Established in 2005 and housed at the old mission site in Pedong, this small but genuinely affecting museum commemorates the French and Swiss fathers of the MEP who spent years in and around Pedong attempting to open a mission route into Tibet. The exhibits include photographs, letters, maps and personal artefacts from the missionaries, a reminder that this quiet hill town was once the front line of one of the 19th century's most audacious religious enterprises.
