Eklakhi (often described as a mosque–mausoleum complex) dates to the early 15th century (commonly placed around c. 1425). It is traditionally associated with Sultan Jalaluddin Muhammad Shah, but the identification of the tombs is debated. Look for the carved Ganesha motif on the doorway, one of the most remarked-upon examples of reused/syncretic iconography at the site. The name “Eklakhi” (meaning one lakh or 100,000) refers to either its construction cost or the number of bricks used.
