About 500 metres uphill from the main ruins, a natural spring has been channelled through a stone cow’s mouth, a delightful piece of ancient hydraulic engineering known locally as “Dhara.” The water flows year-round and the shaded, mossy spot is a welcome respite during warmer months. Locals still use the spring, and it’s a peaceful place to sit and absorb the atmosphere.
