Danish Cemetery

A bit harder to find (near the flyover/Maniktala area) but worth the hunt, this atmospheric, slightly overgrown cemetery holds weathered gravestones of Serampore’s European Protestant community from the Danish period. One notable grave is Ole Bie, a key Danish administrator who died in 1805.  Tip: Don’t confuse it with the separate Baptist Mission Cemetery (above), where the Serampore Trio are buried.
