Eight kilometres from town, the quaint village of Damdim sits amid particularly beautiful colonial-era tea gardens. It has become something of a destination in its own right for tea lovers, and the combination of heritage bungalow architecture, fragrant garden lanes and the distinct culture of the tea estate community makes it worth a couple of hours of unhurried exploration.
