Check out the massive Dalmadal Kaman, weighing around 11-12 tonnes and measuring 3.8 meters—a relic of the Malla Kingdom’s military power built in 1742. According to legend, when the Marathas attacked Bishnupur in 1742, Lord Madan Mohan himself fired the gun to drive them away.

The Pathar/Garh Darwajas (Chhoto and Baro Pathar Darja) are remnants of Bishnupur’s defensive ring. The larger Baro Pathar Darja is a double-tiered gateway with a guardhouse at the top level, complete with narrow slits for archers and gunmen. North of this gateway stands a 17th-century laterite stone chariot following the ekaratna style of architecture.

Gumgarh A mysterious square structure without windows or doors atop a small mound. Some believe it was a prison, while others think it was a granary.
