Text Body

Sultan Yusuf Shah built the Chika Mosque in 1475. The name is commonly linked to the bats (“chika”) that once sheltered inside. Look closely at the stonework: you can spot reused and syncretic motifs, including Hindu imagery on parts of the structure, an echo of Bengal’s layered architectural traditions.
