Housed in the former residence of the French Governor General, this museum is a treasure trove of the town's colonial past. See cannons used in the Anglo-French wars, 18th-century wooden furniture, and rare maps showing Chandannagar as a fortified trading post.
It’s not just a museum either; the Institut still keeps the French connection alive with language classes and archives.
