Perched on a hilltop 5km from town, this Tibetan Buddhist monastery rewards the uphill journey with sweeping valley views and spiritual serenity. The gompa's colourful prayer flags flutter against mountain backdrops, while the main prayer hall houses impressive murals and a golden Buddha. Monks are welcoming to respectful visitors, particularly during morning prayers (around 6am). The monastery runs a small school, and donations support their educational work.
