As the highest peak in the district, Biharinath offers a gentler, more contemplative experience compared to the rugged Susunia. This is a journey defined by dense greenery and deep devotion.
Highlights of the Trail
The Forest Path: The 5km trail winds through a rich canopy of Sal forests and laterite outcrops. Unlike Susunia’s exposed rock, this path is largely paved and shaded, making it a pleasant walk even as the day warms up.
The Summit Temple: Join pilgrims on their way to the hilltop shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The summit complex features multiple shrines and viewing platforms offering stunning 360-degree vistas of the Eastern Ghats outliers.
Seasonal Magic: The atmosphere peaks during Shivaratri (February–March), when the hill comes alive with festivals and devotees.
