Baluchuri Silk Weaving

Visit local weaving centres to watch artisans create the famous Baluchuri saris on traditional pit looms. These silk saris are woven with intricate motifs, often depicting the very same mythological stories you see on the temple walls. The Bishnupur Baluchuri Industry Cooperative Society welcomes visitors. Swarnachari is another famous variant where silk threads are replaced with gold threads.
